Summer Holidays - Part VI - Cannon Beach

And then we were back to camping for a couple of nights. Cannon Beach this time, on the northern Oregon coast. Such a nice spot - really touristy, but charming too, and a nice beach. Haystack Rock is a famous landmark in Cannon Beach, and I can only imagine in how many photo albums it appears, and now ours included.

Anna enjoyed helping pappa set up the tent, and then exploring the campsite together.

Nummy!

We road our bikes everywhere while we were there, and on one of the days we biked to Ecola State Park. It wasn't a long ride - not more than 4 kilometres - but it was uphill the entire way. It was a good work out, especially for Patrik who was towing Anna.

A river flowed into the ocean at one end of Cannon Beach, and it was a perfect spot to let Anna run around without worrying about her getting knocked down by the waves.

On one of the evenings, Patrik put Anna to bed, and I rode down to the water to watch the sunset. I have always loved that time of day - the light just does magical things to the landscape, and I feel like it does magical things to me too. Happy is how I feel when bathed in that light.
