Photo-op with Anna

We couldn't resist a bit of a photo session with Anna today before heading off on our separate ways for the afternoon. Patrik and Anna headed down to Stanley Park with Curt and William, by bike, while I did some Costa Rica errands (we leave in 5 days - yikes!). These are a few of the photos...

Douglas Park

Anna I spent the morning at Douglas Park yesterday, hanging out with William and Lily, and their moms. Anna is the youngest of the three, and likes to try to do what they're doing.

All of the dads were off back country skiing for the day, and what a day they had! The pictures are on another camera and so I'll have to post later. They're worth waiting for...

Grattis Farmor!

Grattis Farmor på födelsedagen! It was great to hear your voice this morning and I only wish that I could have given you a hug too.

I look at your picture often and mom and dad tell me stories and remind me of the good times that we have already had together. If I can just be serious for half a second...

...I wish I could see you in person, and give you another kiss. Remember that last day in Lit last summer, when I gave you a big kiss? I want to give you another one and I can't wait to see you again!

Mom and dad say hi and happy birthday too!

Patio Fun

After Anna's nap today, we headed out to the patio to enjoy the warm afternoon. We started with a cozy cuddle while Anna drank her afternoon bottle of milk...

And spent some time playing with the camera because Anna has now figured out how much fun it is to take a photo and then look at it on the back of the camera.

Anna loves showing off her bellybutton. When I first asked her to show it to me today, she tried to get at it from the top of her dress...

When that didn't work, she was quite delighted to find it under the bottom of her dress!

Our Little Gardener

Oh my, spring is on the way... It was 12 degrees or so today with sunny skies making our backyard feel more like 16 degrees. The garden has no idea that it's only the 4th of February - it has completely been fooled into thinking that it is at least mid-March. Crocuses, daffodils, tulips and irises are popping up. Fresh rubharb and raspberry shoots are growing, and the peonies are starting to push up through the earth. The hydrangeas are budding, with baby leaves already exposing themselves. The list goes on, but you get the picture.

Anna wanted to get in on the spring action, and spent part of the afternoon working on the potted plants. Gardening in a dress, you say? Of course!
