Slacklining with Jon

We had the pleasure of wonderful company last weekend - Mimmi visited from Victoria for the weekend and Patrik's cousin Jon visited for the weekend and through to Wednesday when his was the first of the BA flights to make it out of Vancouver bound for London. Mimmi left us on Sunday afternoon, but the rest of us packed a picnic dinner and headed down to Jericho beach for the first slacklining session of the summer. Jon had apparently slacklined only a few times, but quickly proceeded to school us all.

There's something so wonderful about those first spring days when it is warm enough to walk bare foot. It feels like the body lets out a long sigh, relieved that the winter is over.

This photo gives away what is becoming harder and harder to hide - a growing belly! Although small yet (I'm only 3 months), the body seems to remember having done this before and gives shape to a bump seemingly from one day to the next. I guess I had better tell my boss tomorrow before he figures it out on his own!
