Costa Rica Part I - Home Base

Ah Costa Rica, what an incredible place you are... Patrik and I had such a fantastic trip, it's hard to put into words. It was a little strange because Anna was home with mormor and morfar, but we're pretty sure that she had a better time there than she would have had with all of the traveling that we had to do to get to this little piece of paradise on the Pacific Coast. And we had a little bit of a second honey moon...

We stayed in a little town called Santa Teresa on the Nicoya Peninsula, and at a place called Blue Surf. Fantastic place and amazing people running it. This was our bungalow and the pool where we spent time cooling off when it got too hot to move (it was around 33 degrees every day, with some days up to about 38).

There was an outdoor kitchen for everyone's use, and Sofi is seen sitting in this picture. She is the most amazingly sweet and warm Argentinian woman that works for Blue Surf.

There were also lovely hanging beds to catch some shade for a nap or to read a book in the afternoons.

Down at the bottom of our street, maybe 100 metres away, was a little beachfront open air restaurant called Roca Mar. We were regulars there, especially for breakfast. A beautiful spot to watch the surf.
