Protection Island

Anna and I have been over in Nanaimo since last Thursday, visiting with mormor and morfar, spending some time with cousin Isabelle, and having a bit of a solo holiday on Protection Island. We wish that Patrik could have joined us, but he was busy first skiing and then working, so we were on our own. We're still in Nanaimo because our house is getting a new roof and they won't be finished for a couple of days yet. A bit too noisy to be at home.

We spent the first couple of days in Nanaimo, where Anna played in the pool with Isabelle (she's asking for her own pool now, 'cause it was sooooo much fun),

bounced around in a summer breeze in the jolly jumper,

and got driven around by an almost-walking-on-her-own Isabelle.

On Sunday we headed over to Protection Island with mormor and morfar.

Before they left us, we all took a nice long walk together around the island, and Anna and morfar tried to scare mormor and I by hiding in the bushes.

For the next couple of days, Anna and I enjoyed island walks, the swings at the park, playing on the deck, time down at the beach, and plenty of time in the hammock swing.

We got a pick-up tonight, and Anna looked a little sad to be leaving the island as she cuddled with mormor on the way back to town.
